The ‘Airplane’ Spoof Movies – Funny or Inappropriate?

Iv’e only recently started watching the Airplane films (they are spoofs of disaster movies of the 70s), and without a doubt a lot of the dialogue and actions are hilarious and very clever, but there are a lot of scenes and words that are inappropriate and cross the line, i think if they’d not have included the over the boundaries dialogue, the movies would be even more humorous, some things that they added are just an insult, it’s obvious that the very first movie features racism against black people – they are basically saying that no one can understand a word that black people say and that all African Americans speak mumbo-jumbo, there’s other scenes in the movies that go too far on other subjects, but speaking of the scenes that are actually funny – i say that these flicks are worth watching due to that, a lot of the times spoof movies are actually funnier than basic comedies, so if you want to watch a film that will make you laugh, i recommend the ‘Airplane’ movies, but i advise that you use discernment and be mature enough to know what is funny and what is out of line, the writers are very talented, i just hope in future all writers of spoof movies leave out the inappropriateness.
